Assessor Terms and Conditions
Please ensure that you carefully read this agreement.
By clicking on the submit button on the application form you accept the following terms and conditions of undertaking assignments for Sequential Solutions Ltd. By accessing and browsing the Retail Active Site, you accept, without limitation or qualification, this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use the Site.
All applicants must accept these terms before they can be offered work.
This Site is maintained by Retail Active (a trading name of Sequential Solutions Ltd).
Where reference is made to “Mystery Shopper”, “Shopper”, “Surveyor”, “Auditor” or “Researcher” this shall be deemed to mean any person undertaking mystery shopping assignments on behalf of Sequential Solutions Ltd.
You may only use the Retail Active Mystery Shopping Site in accordance with these terms and conditions. You may download material displayed on the Site for non-commercial, personal use only provided you also retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained on the materials. You may not, however, distribute, modify, transmit, reuse, re-post, or use the content of the Site for public or commercial purposes, including the text and/or images without Sequential Solutions Ltd written permission.
At all times the intellectual property and information relating to client audit assignments remains confidential and must not be disclosed to any third party. Failure to retain client confidentiality will result in the immediate suspension of a registered Mystery Shopper. Registered Mystery Shoppers must not participate in divulging or sharing commercially sensitive information to other Mystery Shoppers or via public forums such as Internet forums or consumer discussion boards.
Assignments
Initial contact to you will be by email, letter, telephone or text, when details of timing, location, fees and deadlines for completed assignments/reports will be discussed.
Details of location, timing and fees will always be indicated prior to accepting the assignment. By reaching verbal agreement all necessary paperwork and assignment briefs will be forwarded.
Shoppers are under no obligation to accept any assignment, and Sequential Solutions Ltd are under no obligation to provide regular work.
All shoppers who accept assignments are not classed as employees of Sequential Solutions Ltd and whilst given assignments, shoppers are free to offer their services to other mystery shopping organisations.
Purchases & Payment
On occasion there may be other essential purchases to be made as part of an assignment and these will be agreed beforehand. Under no circumstances will any extra or excess payments be paid out unless agreed with Sequential Solutions Ltd, prior to the Mystery Shop.
Receipts must be submitted for any items and in the event of no receipt, payment will be withheld.
All payments made are purely based on the type of Mystery Shop and are not linked to the specific conducting of that assignment. Mystery Shoppers will only be paid if assignment reports are,
- Submitted on time
- The survey has been correctly carried out in accordance with the criteria laid out on the report.
In the event that one or both of the above are not fulfilled, Sequential Solutions Ltd will reserve the right to withhold payment.
All shoppers must submit an invoice for work carried out in order that payment is made. All invoices received will be paid within 30 days of receipt if submitted before 11th of each month; thereafter payment may be deferred to the following month. Where possible payments will be made by bank transfer, or posted cheque. All shoppers are self-employed and are responsible for any tax payments.
Conduct
Whilst carrying out an assignment for Sequential Solutions Ltd all shoppers should behave in a courteous manner and professional manner. In the event of any shopper not fulfilling any aspect of an assignment they will be removed from the Retail Active Mystery Shopper database.
The shopper should agree not to;
- Discuss any assignment with any person / Company other than staff of Sequential Solutions Ltd.
- Duplicate or use information for any purpose other than for Sequential Solutions Ltd.
- Disclose paperwork and findings to a third party.
- Send details of the assignments to any other third party.
- Carry out any assignment where there might be a conflict of interest, due to either family or friend involvement. If in any doubt this should be discussed before accepting the survey.
All reports, questionnaires and forms are copyright and remain the property of Sequential Solutions Ltd.
Sequential Solutions Ltd is not liable for any accidents, injuries, legal liabilities, losses or damage to goods, vehicles or of a personal nature before, during or after carrying out surveys. This also includes fines or any other extra charges which may be incurred by the shopper, whilst on an assignment for Sequential Solutions Ltd. Toll charges, parking and standard company mileage rates will however be paid where agreed beforehand.
If unable to perform an agreed assignment, Sequential Solutions Ltd must be notified immediately in order that the assignment can be offered to an alternative shopper.
I understand that by clicking the “Submit” I am accepting the terms and conditions laid out, and that I am interested in becoming a mystery shopper for Sequential Solutions Ltd.
When Can I Start?
Once you have successfully completed the Mystery Shopping Academy of Great Britain training and application you will receive notification of new assignments.
